For researchers who STUDY BASED AT READING, additionally provides a subsistence GRANT/STIPEND BROADLY IN LINE WITH THE UKRI MINIMUM stipend. The dedicated University of Reading 2027 studentship page quotes £21,805 as the 2026/27 STIPEND reference rate, NOT a confirmed fixed 2027/28 award amount. On-campus stipends may change with UKRI uprating and award conditions. CRITICAL: OFF-CAMPUS/BY-DISTANCE awardees receive university tuition fees at the International rate PLUS £1,000/year training/development allowance, but NO SUBSISTENCE/LIVING STIPEND. Therefore, do not describe every Reading International PhD Studentship as a fully funded living-cost award. Duration: up to FOUR YEARS full-time or SIX YEARS part-time. Tuition and allowances are competitive and depend on receiving a formal funding award after School nomination and the Doctoral and Researcher College panel. Visa fees, immigration health surcharge, flights, accommodation and general health insurance are NOT stated as covered on the official studentship page, and are not guaranteed benefits.
